Singapore Math at Great Hearts Academies
Great Hearts uses Singapore Math to help students develop a deep, lasting understanding of mathematics rather than simply memorizing steps or shortcuts. The curriculum moves students from concrete examples, to visual models, to abstract reasoning, allowing them to see why mathematical concepts work before they are asked to apply them independently.
Through careful practice, mental math, problem solving, and model drawing, students learn to think clearly and precisely. Singapore Math strengthens number sense, builds confidence, and prepares students for the higher levels of mathematical reasoning they will encounter throughout the K–12 classical curriculum.
